Admissions Procedure

Initial Visit

Please call or complete our online Inquiry Form to schedule a tour of our campus. This visit gives parents/guardian a chance to see the one-of-a-kind atmosphere of our school, and to see our classes in action. The tour will include the entire campus: chapel, lunch room, community area, classrooms, technology lab, occupational and physical therapy rooms, speech therapy room, and outdoor playgrounds. After your tour, you are invited to meet with our Principal to discuss your child's current and future needs, goals and education expectations. If possible, please bring your child's IEP or 504 plan, as well as any current testing data and current report card.

Application for Admission

After you have toured the school and have met with our principal, you may submit an application on behalf of your child. We request that all data is on file at this point, ie: IEP, report cards, and testing data. You may be invited to have your child 'shadow' a classroom. After your child has 'shadowed' and has been assessed by our resource teacher, he/she may be admitted to our program. In order to 'shadow', you must complete the Application for Admission, as well as submit the non-refundable $50 application fee.

Student Shadow

We invite your child to 'shadow' a class. This allows your child to interact and make friends with our students, and to understand how our school functions. Your child will also meet with our resource teacher for placement testing, which will assist us to better understand his or her needs. Depending on grade level, students may shadow for a half day or full day. If your student is 'shadowing' for a full day, he or she is also invited to eat lunch with our students. Students are encouraged to wear navy pants for elementary school or khaki pants for middle school, and a solid color polo shirt on their shadow day. Many of our student shadows are excited to begin school with their new friends.

Registration

After your child's 'shadow' day, you will talk with our Admissions Director to discuss enrollment or other education options you may have. Due to the unique nature of our program, we are only able to accept students whom we are equipped to provide academic support.

Questionnaire

Once your child has been registered, you will receive two questionnaires: a parent questionnaire and teacher questionnaire. These questionnaires are used to better understand the unique qualities of each student so he or she can receive the direct and individual attention we provide. Please return these questionnaires to the office as soon as possible.

Please complete our brief online Inquiry Form
and we'll get back to you as soon as possible to set-up a tour of our campus.
