What is a child’s education worth?

When it comes to your child’s future, how do you decide what your daughter’s education is worth? Is your son’s chance to do well in school, to graduate, and go on to college worth paying for? Is it worth making some sacrifices when it comes to material possessions or other discretionary family spending?

A Catholic school education isn’t free: it’s an investment in the future and it also takes an investment of time to make it work. But many families truly believe it is worth every penny, because it provides a better return on their investment than any other choice they can make.

It is not just because the teachers and principals in Catholic schools do a better job, or because the environment is more conducive to learning, or because the community is more sharing, or because the values and faith your child learns are more supportive, but because you and your child will be more committed to making it work and will do whatever you can to get the most out of the experience.

Our school provides support for families who need financial help.

If a family wants to send their child to our school but don’t have the resources, they are invited to talk to us about their situation and opportunity to enroll their child in our school. We may have scholarship funds available to help them. Parishes may also provide help to participating parishioners who want to send their children to our Catholic school.

Support a child, support our school, because you care and understand.

Many families who have sent their children to Catholic school in the past, or are currently doing so, understand the reasons why other parents want their children to have the same opportunity. If they can, they choose to support their local school by sponsoring a child or contributing to the school.

If you would like to make a contribution, our school will use your donation to help a family in need to send their child to get a great education and a chance at a successful future. And you will surely be in the prayers of the family that receives your help.

Sponsor a Student

Help a child reap the life-shaping rewards of a Catholic education by sponsoring a student. This enables local businesses and benefactors to help parents who wish to enroll their children in Catholic schools or help keep their children in school. Through this program, you can help provide the resources needed for a child to attend St. Mary Academy. In doing so, you will not only make a dramatic difference in the life of a child, but also serve as an example of the compassion and selflessness we strive to instill in our students, and our future leaders.

How does the donation work?

Your tuition contribution will be distributed to the school and can be allocated to the area identified as having the greatest need.

Who benefits?

Those students who want the advantage of Catholic education, but who need financial assistance will benefit most directly from your contribution. Indirectly, the entire Catholic education system, our communities, and our families will all share the positive impact. And of course, you will benefit with the satisfaction of knowing your compassion has made a real difference in a child’s life. To sustain a student’s enrollment for his/her entire elementary school education, a donor is encouraged to support that student for that length of time.
