Our School

Picture
St. Mary Academy is located in Sarasota, Diocese of Venice in Florida and is the first Monolithic Dome School in Florida.  St. Mary is a school with programs for diverse learners, five to fifteen years old.  We are housed in Dome F, a structure with 11,500 square feet of flexible class space within its 124-foot diameter.

St. Mary Academy is proud to be the only Catholic school in Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte, Collier, DeSoto, Glades, Hardee, Hendry and  Highlands counties to serve diverse learners.  Our direct affiliation with the Diocese of Venice ensures that our students receive the highest level of support to achieve their education goals and experience spiritual growth.

At St. Mary Academy, we work with children who are struggling academically, and children with special learning needs.  Our students are average to above-average in intelligence and may have: Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD), Dyslexia, Speech and Language Disorders, Attention Deficit Disorders (ADD), Anxiety, high-functioning Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), or other exceptionalities.
Students learn in classes of 12 students or fewer and are taught by certified teachers.  We have on-site occupational and speech therapies.

We accept  the Florida Empowerment Scholarship for Students with Unique Abilities, Step Up For Students (Income based) and provide financial aid to qualifying families.

We look forward to meeting you and answering any questions you may have about  St. Mary Academy.
