We are so proud of how John has progressed at St. Mary Academy. His reading has improved dramatically in a relatively short time and he is much more willing to talk about his school day and the challenges he faces than when he was in public school. Transferring John to St. Mary was indeed the right choice for our son.

My daughter has attended this school for 3 months and I'm blown away on how much she has excelled academically and socially. The staff is wonderful and friendly and I'm always greeted with a welcoming smile. My daughter has not complained at all which is a great relief. She is happy and comfortable at her new school and no longer stressed. I highly recommend any child with learning/social disabilities to attend this school. It has changed our family in so many ways.

As with any new experience, we were cautious when we began the mid-summer 2015 process of transferring our son, John, from a local elementary school to St. Mary Academy. A pediatric neuropsychologist had recommended St. Mary Academy to us but time was running short and we had our list of questions.
We were very impressed with the school’s response. Connie Taft, St. Mary Development Director, answered all of our questions concisely and guided us through the admission and enrollment process as if John were her own child. Other staff members, including Cathy Powers, John’s soon-to-be fourth-grade homeroom and reading teacher, paraprofessional Bonnie Dorigo and Speech and Language Pathologist Katie Rierson, who tested John pre-enrollment, immediately made us feel like members of the St. Mary family. Our conversations with Debbie Thompson made the financial details less worrisome. Through taking a tour, we became instantly comfortable with the facility and campus.
We were delighted that St. Mary was able to enroll John in time for fall 2015 classes. He began making friends right away and says he’s happy to be an Dragon. We can see the difference. Mom and Dad are happy, too.
